Pooh. Real roses work better than poems about them. But don't try to overwhelm the fair lady with a pile of them. Instead, send three -- with a card that reads, "one for your hair, one for your eyes, one for your heart."

I swiped the idea from Frank Harris. Does it even make sense? It never did to me... but it worked as well in the 1900's as it had for him in the 1800's. I see no reason why it shouldn't work just as well in the 21st century...:)

actually I was funning. I've been married a long time and faithfull to my wife. I wouldn't know where to begin courting, if I wanted to. Even if I could remember the tactics of my youth, I doubt they'd work today. Different times.

I'm about out the door for the evening. I'm not sure about this whole poetry thing, but taking one to a nude body painting contest and then the renaissance theme afterparty. Might be back by dawn might not. But in either case something tells me if I started spewing poetry I'd be asked if I needed to sit down, at which point I'd likely be handed a cup of coffee. Just can't picture it ever working guys, ever tried just buying the girl a drink and then locking forheads . Works like a charm for me.

I searched the world over and found a treasure. So, I married her and never needed to look further. I think she is beautifull. 50 years old and looks 30. Or maybe I'm blinded by love. We are still in love after all these years.

It's good to stay in practice though . . .

i get all the practice I need. My wife constantly reminds me. Don't take her for granted. I'm still courting her.

From the time I left home at eighteen until I married my present wife in my early forties, I don't believe I ever had an address that was good for an entire year. And I burned through my share of women, too.

But I never really played the field; I was what's referred to as 'serially monogamous.' I took women (or they took me) one at a time. I almost always had one I was living with, or one I was seeing on a regular basis.

It still amazes me that my wife has managed to nail my feet to the floor for over twenty years now. Of course, it helps that she's passionate and gorgeous -- and she also cheated. She had a son who crawled up into my lap while learning to talk, settled himself in and got comfortable, looked me full in the eye, and said "Dad-dee? Dad-dee?"

How the Hell do you fight that?

A bit of shoe polish might help a bit. You can judge a man by his foot wear, well heeled but carelessly maintained which means other things could be too,( quote from my Grandmother RIP)

Have to agree with Boston and Frosty here. There aren't any gimmicks that work. Much like waxing a boat properly, there are no shortcuts. Look presentable, spend some money and master the art of conversation, especially listening. That's all there is to it. Or, possibly its that Boston and i share the same hair style! Ha ha ha

There once was a man with a boat
who yearned for a voyage afloat,
he paddled all day, in a circular way,
never realizing it was a moat.
