Neither Hyperinflation or deflation, but Bernanke will stuff Global trade as he is still doing with exchange rate roller-coaster changes http://financialsense.com/editorials/saxena/2009/0708.html

http://financialsense.com/editorials/engdahl/2009/0708.html - "...Disinfo claims Saudis OK Israeli raid on Iran..." seems the Americans are not the only ones playing the game of "disinformation:... :D:D:D

    http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/schiff/2009/0708.html - - Dead cat bounce, as I suggested yesterday - - I feel good when I pre-empt an essay :D:D:D

I really like this idea http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/ash/2009/0708.html I would borrow and set up a "pay-interest-only-loan" and collect the interest HEHEHE

http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/delta/2009/0708.html - "Why have we Abandoned Markets?" - one of the symptoms and reasons for all this economic downturn, broadly speaking... - Make use of your local farmers markets - great way to get fresh produce harvested in season when ripe - not that packaged **** like "soylent green" that could have come from anywhere? :D:D:D

If it has got an acronym, be sceptical :D:D:D http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/karn/2009/0708.html

For the "chartists" http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/wagner/2009/0708.html and http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/2009/0708.html with some pessimism unless you are an anticipatory bear...

Do not forget the video discussion "Financial Sense Multimedia, - Reality Check" on this page http://financialsense.com/index.html and with links to others if you are a "non-reader" - mainly on "energy matters" and primarily for the USA...

Riding the ETF game - for free???? http://etf-master-trader.com/JZ29?gclid=CO7R5rGTx5sCFQ9Jagodnh7cBg will be sent to your email address on free subscription?

Finally - I am f8*&%$ disgusted, wot is happening? Gold in AU$ IS STILL AU$1167 - no real movement in about 3 months or more??? and in US$ fallen to below support at US$908 and hovering (18:30 NY time)....

This gem of a quote I found on the Kitco forum

"...The actual quote was written prior to the signing of the Fed Reserve Act apparently. Just found the unabridged one!

'...We have restricted credit, we have restricted opportunity, we have controlled development, and we have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men.' -Woodrow Wilson, The New Freedom: A Call for the Emancipation of the Generous, page 201, 1913..." - - - - If someone has the full essay by Woodrow Wilson, please post it on this thread...

Thesy folk at Kitco forum are entertaining "... Originally Posted by unixmd5crypt View Post

China: No, not buy that crap. We onry want Sirver and Gord! Did Saudia Arabia buy?

Saudia Arabia: LMMFAO, we not buy that sh-- there is cheaper stuff we can wipe with, like dollar bills! What about Japan?

Japan: We not buy it! We keep getting caught trying to sell it, why would we add more. What about France?

Great Britain: Hardly chap. We've got enough of our own worries to handle. I'm betting America bought them. America?

my theory on the price of gold is its used in industry enough for them to want to keep it within reasonable cost
or it might have adverse effects on those sectors of the economy

    same thing with oil
they generally manipulate the value of oil
    sometimes up sometimes down
but its still the same concept

    have fun on the boat

Taksin the convicted ex Thai prime minister was last week pleading with his people by Tv transmission not to leave him al alone in Dubai and he has no money left.

The dubai police said Hmmm and went looking for him.

He jumped onto his private jet and flew to Kuala Lumpur and stayed at the Shangri La Hotel to do a runner the next morning getting wind of his pending arrest by the Malaysians.

---Back on the jet and flew to Tonga,-- Fiji and some more little islands allegedly offering hundreds millions in return for some where to live for a while.

He is asking the King for a Royal Pardon for tax evasion!! of course he cant ask for himself he wants some one else to do it for him.

Private jet ,hundreds of millions ??? Manchester city football club, how much did he run away with?? And the poor still plant rice in the hot sun.

He thinks he is a caring politician and some people still think so? sigh

I don't care? - He can give me some - - a million AU$ will do nicely and I will tell him where he can go.... :D:D:D

What I would like to know is How many people would be considered "employed", in the USA and how many people in USA are of employable (age & fitness potential) capability - Then the TRUE level of "unemployment" can be ascertained... I would guess at something in the vicinity of 30% of the employable but not gainfully employed, would work full time if they could find a job....

This essay is to introduce big brother as he will know everything you do http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/zweig/2009/0709.html :D:D:D

No sign of relief from The drought, and hopefully, the FED will not make a flood to counter it - - $$$$ :D http://financialsense.com/fsu/editorials/2009/0709b.html

There is lots more to read, but it seems to point solidly to the postulation that America is doomed and the rest of the world will suffer the excesses of American debt as a consequence of the US$ being that of "reserve currency" for international trade and pricing, with too many people globally expecting the "greed is good" band-wagon to continue for some time....

Masalai, wouldn't that apply to Australia too? I am always amazed with the low unemployment there, yet when you look at the census numbers, a lot of temporary and part-time workers appear, which for example in Chile do not count as employed.

masrapido, Yes to some extent, but on observation seems around 10% here, and the odd house being "sold under instruction from the mortgagor" and nothing as severe as Boston suggests with , I think he said 6 homes abandoned in his locale...

In Australia Unemployment "benefits" are available ALWAYS, and do not cease after some period so there may be (are) some families who have never worked, and nor have their children (sometimes referred to as "dole-bludgers")... I gather that in USA there is a cutoff day... Also Australia has universal medicare for 'formal' residents - not as swish as health care in USA but reasonable... I may be incorrect in some aspects here... As a 'Department of Veterans Affairs' pensioner, medical+ is free
