Probably mundane for many forum readers, but some might find this You Tube video of a visit to the Wight Shipyard of interest. The boats being built are aluminum power catamarans which will provide passenger ferry service on the Thames. Down-river the boats can run at 30 knots powered by a Diesel engine. In central London they will run at slower speed using electric motors running on batteries.
