German Frers boats

    Don't forget German's father a shipwright and great designer too. German Frers had the great opportunity to grow up around a boatyard, which gave him first hand insight on boats.

    I was a paid crew on a Beneteau First 456 on which I sailed from SriLanka to Belgium.I loved the handling, especially up wind where two finger helming was possible in almost any conditions. The owner liked to push the boat as hard as possible without breaking things and we sailed in all weather. I also did two transatlantics on a Swan 651 which had a very similar hull shape and was also a joy to helm.
