Gel coat & resin/chopper guns - which brand and models do you like?

I am shopping for gel coat and resin/chopper guns. I'm looking at Magnum Venus, Binks and Phoenix. It would be a big help to hear from people who have experience with these. What do you like and dislike about them? What features are good or bad such as airless or internal vs external mix, etc.? Thank you

Magnum is the most common and is supported just about everywhere.

Phoenix is a bit less common, but I've heard good things about it.

 

The designer was heavily influenced by original MAGNUM pump designs (VLS/MLS), so the design philosophy is based around long strokes at slow drive speeds.

My only dislike is spraygun ergonomics (trigger specifically), but they did an excellent job maintaining the engineering at an affordable pricepoint with it.

Their pilot valve design is a little oldschool (exposed signal hoses, small internal passages), but it should be a non issue for years if you have a clean, dry air supply (must run an air dryer, or sludge buildup will cause pump shifting problems)
