I don't understand why I sometimes loose my hydrostatic features on my freeship drawing after I have been working on it for a while. Has anyone else run into this issue?

You may have a leak in the hull . In freeships the hull must must be sealed .
Check to see if there are any green points , and fix those to zero .

Another possibility, albeit a less likely one, is that your design exceeds the acceptable range of input variables for the hydrostatics formula.

A third possibility is that the draft of the boat is set so that the boat is either entirely submerged, or entirely in the air. See the Menu item Project|ProjectSettings|ProjectSettingsTab
