I'm getting a corrupt file message when trying to open the .zip file. Is anybody else experiencing this problem?

I got bad downloads, as well, for the software and the new manual.

I think something went wrong during the upload. I uploaded the files again and now it seems to be working.
    Sorry for that...

I know this is a really dumb question - but how do you display the diagonals in FREE!ship? The icon is always faded out so that it can't be selected...

Add them first, just like you add stations or waterlines.

    Toby P,

It's the icon at the very top right. Looks kinda of like a knife hanging over a calculator. It opens the intersections dialog.

Here is a picture of the plug of a 6 m. solarboat designed in Free!ship. It was exported to IGES and milled with a 5-axis machine. The boat is now under construction at the HISWA exhibition and even made it to TV and national radio!

    Hey Windvang

Are the drawings "top secret" or can we get a glimpse of what it will look like finished?

They are not secret anymore, since the boat went on display at the HISWA exhibition. The boat is build for the http://www.frisiannuonsolarchallenge.com/
a 220 km. endurance race for solar powered boats along a famous Dutch ice-skating route.

The boat will be trimmed aft for top speed (+/- 15 Kn.) and foreward for endurance. The last generation had a problem with windage that is why we reverse-curved the sheer and rounded the deck edge. The chine promotes early planing and enhances stability for the heavy stock solar cells. It is build in carbon on a 6 mm PVC core. 2 boats will be build to test various configurations of prop and gearing.
