    Hoyt,

I really thought that was Twain. But, all I could find online was Heinlein .... Robert A. Heinlein, as if there could be another.

PS, the rest of the quote was at least as great as the first, "An armed society is a polite society. Manners are good when one may have to back up his acts with his life."

    regards,

    wayne

The statistics by the New Zealand Government with firearm deaths compared to the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
Three of the countries have strict gun controls compared to the USA.
Firearm related deaths per 100.000 populations in each country.
    New Zealand 0.16
    Australia 0.15
    Canada 0.7
    USA 10.4 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

Motor vehicle deaths per 100.000 people
    New Zealand 8.6
    Australia 7.2
    Canada 7.9
    USA 13.9

It states that in the USA you more are likely too been killed by a firearm than you are killed on the New Zealand roads by a vehicle accident as in Canada and Australia.

    Myark,

    Again.

Around 30,000 sex tourists travel to your country to assault boys and girls. That is more than the total deaths due to guns in the USA.

America has a lower violence rate than where you live. We have a lower suicide rate (by far) than Australia or New Zealand. Therefore, your repeated 'statistics' from New Zealand do not show the truth. They distract.

New Zealand has almost as many suicides per 100k population as the USA has motor deaths and gun deaths. So, what are you saying? Don't live in New Zealand?

I want to make America a safer place for children. But, your country is a safe haven for those who hurt children.

If you want to campaign for children, then the easiest place for you to campaign is in Thailand. The lives you could actually save.

    regards

Almost two thirds of those gun deaths in the US are suicides, simply because guns are the most convenient way to kill yourself. A large number of the rest are criminal-on-criminal killings, committed by a violent subset of drug dealers and bang bangers.

The ordinary citizen going about his life here is no more likely to be killed by a gun than he is in New Zealand. In fact, if what you say is true about the number of people you've personally known who were shot to death, it's safer here.

    Utter bloody nonsense --
Post a link or your words are worthless.

Have you been to Thailand? Sex with minors is a most serious offence --you will not see light of day till proven innocence. There are some westerners including a large number of Americans that come and take advantage of the kindness of gullable people.

This is not there fault but that of the westerners who pray on this advantage.

You say 30, 000 Americans come here for sex with minors?

I was not aware that there was that many American sex tourists but then post a link or shut up.
