On the crest of a wave... for FIVE miles: Paddle-boarders in majestic marathon surf of Alaskan tidal bore in Turnagain Arm..

This bore wave can run for about 40 miles down the Turnagain arm.

Dress warmly and wear a good PFD. We already lost a Sail boarder on that trip.

They think the Sail Board guy fell in and the Silt in the water somehow kept his body from surfacing until it ran up on the Beach of Fire Island. Maybe 10 miles from where he went under.
He had a Neoprene suit on but not a Life preserver.

I watched those guys playing around in the Turnagain arm Water. It sure looked like they were having a great time.
