my thoughts are only relevant for large folders. One you fold on the beach is different. Do what you like there.

    cheers

I think I saw a reference to that on your site. I just already have two Tamanu hulls and a Hobie 18 rig. I'm thinking of overgrown beachcat and kayak style camping with the ability to tent aboard if necessary. folding along the lines of the Wizard will allow a reasonable trailer to sailing time while allowing the boat to have a large sailing beam AND fit in the garage.

Thank you for participating in this forum!

    Sincerely,

Ray, your profile view is great. Did you develop some new software skills? Is your immersed forefoot going to lead so some bow steer downwind?

Mine is pretty small and light. I'll bet each Tamanu isn't much more than 100 lbs. I just need to get some relevant dimensions for the beams and go form there. A large box beam for the mast and a smaller one for the aft end seems easy enough to achieve. The scale of what I'm imagining is pretty small after all.

I'm trying to do better work. In the past, most of this stuff was drawn by hand and then loaded into GIMP for cleanup. I'm just doing more of the work on-screen.

I don't think so. The hulls are just scaled up versions of Slider's hulls. Slider is the best-behaved boat I've ever sailed, so I hope those qualities will translate.

There is a hard deck woods wizard for sale in Australia with Alloy beams.

Wow thats such a different boat without the cuddy.

Heres a similar, but slightly smaller Malcolm Tennant design from 1982.
