    Hello,

How to protect clear gelcoat from UV radiation? To mix in HALS in it or some equivalent like hydroxyphenylbenzotriazole and hydroxybenzophenone
    OR

to put some uv resistant coat when the part is done

Clear gel coat is about as UV resistant as it will ever be when you buy it, being a backyard chemist isn’t going to help much.

You can spray a high end clear paint over it, but they tend to turn yellow and peel in a few years.

use a 2 part lpu clear gloss - note that 99% of clear coats do no contain $$$$ uv blockers - exceptions are auto clear coat and Acrylic Poly UV plus (tm)
