That's terrible news, Florence Arthaud was a huge inspiration and who can forget her exploits on Pierre 1er in the 1990 Route du Rhum.

Florence Arthaud will be missed, France lost some great ambassadors for sport....Women especially have few roll models who have succeeded at the top levels of racing.

According to the last update a investigation is happening, standard in such happenings. Apparently other contestants were blindfolded on the ground awaiting the mystery celebrities for the show, I'm not sure the actual event was witnessed.

That shows the aftermath, hopefully a video of the actual incident was taken which will help sort things out.
