This boat has a 2' to 2 1/2' (flat) area over the keel from stern to bow before it starts angling up the sides.

Rather than mess with contours:mad: I think I will just use this (flat) space to allow a "flat surface" (walkway) built w/wood if you will, and (hopefully):) gain some (stability) in the boat while moving stern to bow.

Question: with this (small width) will I gain some noticable stability?

    Thanks in advance,

    17ft'r

Describe the boat in more detail. You have not given us enough of a description to prompt a useful answer. I might guess this to be a drift boat since you are in drift boat territory. Can you post a picture or a sketch?
