Floodable Length and Compartment Standard

    Can someone help me to clarify the choice of compartment standard for 68m OSV, is one compartment standard just enough to pass the stability criteria. thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the forum. I assume you're referring to the study of stability after damage (not the calculation of floodable lengths). Each type of ship is required, according to regulations, to study the flooding of one or two compartments. Consult SOLAS.

    The role/duty of the vessel will be shown in the specification. This will outline the statutory rules to with the vessel must comply with.
