My 70+++year old brain is letting me down today on what should be a simple math question.
KNOWN FACTS: 1 fluid ounce is 1.8046875 cubic inches
64 fluid ounce plastic bottle holds 115.5 cubic inches
    ( 64 x 1.8046875 = 115.5 C" )= 1/2 US gallon
1 US gallon has 231 cubic inches
1 cubic foot has 1728 C" and if it is air will float 62
    lbs in fresh water.
So what will my empty 64 oz. plastic bottle float????????? Back again. I just divided 231 by 1728 and got 13.36 so 231 is 13.36% of a cubic foot. 62 lbs. flotation x 13,36% = 8.28 pounds of flotation 1/2 of that is 4.14 pounds of flotation. Is that correct????

I know it is simple division and multiplication but I've tried every way and nothing adds up. Please Help, Thanks much, Stan
