Fiberglass on ply. Two 6 oz fabric epoxy to ply. So….time to fill the weave.
Would like to fill the weave and top off with peel ply.
My main concern is sagging. I don’t have enough experience to determine if the peel ply will will stop any sagging. Sort of dont think it will. Could thicken the epoxy but not sure how that acts with the peel ply. Im thinking my best option is do a partial fill and let the epoxy firm up…then apply the top coat and peel ply hoping the partial fill will hold everything in place.
    Thanks for any input!

Both thickened epoxy and peel-ply should prevent sagging.
    They also work well together.
I recommend using less thickener with the peel-ply.

    Cooler temps helps.

    No thickening.

Peelply is fine, but can leave voids done poorly.

Silica is hard as sand and you will regret weave filling with it.

Add microballoons with a bit of silica. Two parts balloons to one part silica.

Any laminating done poorly can result in voids.

You can run silica down to as little as 20% by volume in the dry mix and still avoid sags. But really, I have found weave filling works real well at 2 oz per yard; no peelply, no thickeners..never run the roller horizontally; only vertical and just don't overdo the thickness; epoxy allows you plenty of time; nothi g over 1/4" thick rollers; i like the adhesive HD rollers for weave fill; they are like 3/16" or 1/8"

I cut these in half on a band saw. Roller frame may need tape, etc..
