IGNORE !! you obviously have not provided any constructive criticism by not submitting any facts, figures or references to support your claims of misinterpretation

As for working, proof is not in words but in action. would like to test my patent pending idea out for me and provide your own qualified feedback for the rest of the forum? I will send you a free sample as long as you promise to provide unbiased opinion on its usefulness on this forum....

Your reading comprehension could use a little polish. I'll repeat myself again: My comments were all directed at the nature of patents, their intrinsic use and value. Any patent..virtually all patents.

Your "invention" was not the subject of my comments.

Any thing can be patented on application but anything can not pass the final examination to have patented granted.

This is my latest design patent pending link below that cost $100 to file patent pending online, if any market I will proceed to PCT patent that needs examination and if that's all good and any market internationally I will place the final patent in the country market is making $

If the market is viable the idea pays for patent cost which is a small cost insurance with a powerful $ gain.

It is difficult to pass patent examination and any thing can not have a patent finalized.

I have personally seen and been directly involved in the further development numerous inventions that received patents in spite of the existence of nearly identical prior art reduced to practice. You give the patent examination process far more credit than it is due, apparently.

On the "flip side", my company has been sued for patent infringement several times by "patent trolls", and had to waste valuable time and money proving that our products, technology or inventions had been in regular use long, long before somebody else received a patent for same stuff.

That is what the "real world" looks like when it comes to patents.;)

Good luck. I applaud anyone that makes the effort.

AND even if the idea is unique and truly deserves a patent (unlike is the case often) there is no authority that will fight for you when someone steals your idea. Its still your job (and money) to sue the party breaking the patent. Not cheap.

On the other hand it’s not cheap to challenge a patent, as it was for several patent attorneys companies reputations, after I won the patent challenge I placed all the rip-offs and their lawyers on my web site displaying them as blatant rip-offs, all said they would sue me but not one tried as its not defamation if it’s the absolute truth.
It cost not a dime but my time to be the representing lawyer for my friend, however the white color rip-offs are charged with no mercy by their shark hungry attorneys.
I run the rip-offs out of cash and their lawyers as I mentioned in another thread dropped of the vine like rotting grapes as I would send mountains of paper work for them to respond to, also they tried to have the IP courts remove me as the acting lawyer many times but never worked as they tried to say the white collar rip-offs who frog marched the inventor out of a trade show when they are selling his invention and threw him to the ground outside the show in front of his wife and child saying they could not guarantee the safety of his wife and child if he came back, they are also blackmailing him.
Their lawyers claimed on a following year at this trade show I kicked one of these rip-offs with my steel cap boot up the ring all the way out of the trade show and damaged his ring piece.
The IP courts rejected their claims to have me removed from been the acting lawyer as the picture taken of the inventor and I is on the last day by the IP commissioner that judged the court hearing I won.

Since your feet are in the water, I can assure you that you would move much faster without paddles - with just using these:

I have froggered fins that work much better than those.... and they don't break your ankles !! They're even color coded for the nautically inclined...

In a world of 7.5 bn people and with thousands of years of technological history, it is very difficult to come up with a brand new idea in any field. The same is valid for the monofin you have manufactured. See these, for example:

But you are trying, which is praiseworthy anyways.

Don't forget to mention the millions of dollars spent by the US DARPA to develop this contraption... Powerglide

The intelligence that I bring to the table is the inverting foil. It allows for thrust development at much lower frequencies (hence strouhal #) to that of rigid foils. The proof is in the use of it and not just the contemplation of it.

Hold out your hand flat. Form a foil like you do when "flying your hand" out the window of a car. Now hyper extend your hand in the reverse direction and create a foil shape in the reverse direction.

I understand what you mean and the idea behind it. But I highly doubt that your fin is more efficient than conventional ones.
The reason why I doubt it is in the fact that no fish or bird I am aware of has evolved its wings or fins into that shape. The evolutionary change of body shapes in the animal world is imo one of the best indicators of where the maximum efficiency is.
