I have purchased two new boat seat pedestals, they have a square metal plate eight inches square at the base. They have four holes in the base plate to facilitate screwing them down to the deck.
I am a bit worried if the fix will be adequate to stand the seats and weight of the passengers that use them. They have swivels at the top of the pedestals to attach the seats to.
My boat is a 14ft speedboat with the deck sealed from the hull to the deck.
Has anyone used this type with any success?
