Hello all. I am completely new to boat building and am now building my first 12' skiff. My question is: Do I need to add some type of floatation material in this boat? Also, the number of different epoxy's is confusing. Any suggestions? Yes, price is a factor. I thank you in advance for any help.

Small boats are supposed to have level flotation- that is, when the boat is fully flooded and not loaded, it floats at the surface without capsizing. This is usually accomplished by putting flotation foam in the forepeak and under the aft seats. It would be a Very Bad Idea to skimp on the flotation.
