I do commend GreenPeace for finally doing something about what they claim they believe in.

The US is the smallest segment of pollution in the industrial world. And our 'polluters' have been cut through regulation.

Byt going to the source, environmentalist can easily cut 20% of the world's pollution output. And I doubt that would cost more than reducing US output by 4%, which would be less than half of a percent of worldwide pollution.

This time, they were realistic in trying to make real change.

They were just not realistic in who they took on ....

Canada is the second largest supplier of oil to the U.S. We have never asked or required the U.S. for protection. As a matter of fact the only country on earth that ever directly attacked us was the U.S. Yes we consume more energy per capita than the US even at almost a 75% higher cost per gal. of fuel. You are correct climate does play a small role however the other factor is we do because we can , our cost of living is much less freeing up cash to drive and spend south of the border.( a big plus for you Hoyt in Florida )Canada has the same population as the state of California maybe it would be more accurate if we compared the two when doing the energy consumption stats. We certainly rate higher in successfully running the country based on a per capita tax base verses land mass. California being near broke and Canada being a member of the G7, one of the richest country's on earth. El Guero the next time you go shooting off your mouth get your facts straight by educating yourself on your (San Antonio) U.S. neighbor to the north.

 

How could anyone in his right mind not see this sort of nonsense as an attack on liberals and progressives:

El Guero, you didn't give any information where you find your sources. You can't just throw this kind of statement and go away from it.
Do you personally see the 95% inmate voting Democrat just before the shooting?
Let me be clear, I don't care if someone is liberal or not, I will have said the same if you commented about the other spectrum of this very sadly devised Country.
But as I said, this kind of statement are dangerous and grossly inaccurate. So be a man of your words and show the source.
