A cheap, low HP diesel engine...

This engine might be good for an outboard or saildrive conversion for very little money. I don't know about marinization, but it looks pretty simple. These folks are also selling some pretty cheap, small diesel generators. Again, I don't know how suitable they are for marine use, but at a third the price there's plenty of room for adaptation.

$1600 for a 4.6 hp engine to replace a 7 to 10 hp engine should never be taken seriously. Do better.
