Fiberglass mold/plug

    You don't want to make a mold yet, I wouldn't think. If at all. Something like that, I would make a prototype and try it. Make "rough" modifications until it's right and then final finish it and use it as a plug and make a mold from it. For only one item, it is usually not worth it in time and material to make a mold.

    Its really quite easy to make the internal shape on a board from thin fibreglass 1 layer of csm 450 glass . What is the outside
    diameter of your prop ??
    Have you worked with pvc foams and are you good at making shapes ??:confused:

    i need easy

    10-12" OD .. haven't decided on motor spec yet, but I'm leaning towards the 12" prop

    no PVC foams experience, shapes = so-so in wood and metal

    Theres a post about doing a mould for a similar shrouding for a hovercraft around.

    It was an easy thing to do with foam - for 12", you could make simple lathe from a drill and spin a piece of foam on it

    Yeah, it was by this guy..kach22i...He needed something, I don't remember what, and didn't have a lathe so he jacked up his car and rigged up something on his rear wheel so he could turn the piece.
