I have a 44' steel hull and would like to remove the steel cabin by cutting it off just above the deck and replacing with a newly built fiberglass cabin. I am looking for suggestions on how to join the fiberglass to the steel. Bolting? Joining the fiberglass to the steel? ........
Also are there any issues with this? Is this a bad idea having fiberlglass mated to steel?

It's considered spamming when you post the same question in three different forums simultanously.

Sorry if I have offended anyone. I figured that I would get better response by posting the question in all of the areas in which the question could apply.

Imagine everyone doing that – wouldn't that be swell?

Btw, I'm not a boat builder, so caveat emptor, but I'd bolt the thing onto a welded frame.

make an upstand (flange) about 75mm high , make up your cabin, , get all ready, then put Sika 11fc around the joint and lower cabin over it
through bolt with c/s hex drive screws
