There always comes a point where it's just not salvageable, I suppose. From what I gather on other threads, Murielle is absolutely passionate about boats and probably would not have killed it if there were any hope at all of saving it. But that's life.... (Moment of silence for Karma).
None in mine either (apart from the fishing sinkers friends keep trying to sneak aboard).... but I don't have space for a sailboat yet ;)

When somebody puts so many hours & their heart and soul into a boat it seems sacrilege to driver a D12 over it.
Maybe not so much the production boats....but a boat is a boat.... in my
mind there so much enigma about the possibilities where they could take
    you.
Old boats often ,on the surface, look fine, and used sedately in good conditions would last years more but the reality is the sea is a fickle and
    demanding mistress.

    This subject reminds me.
I have a 34' deck mold I have to dispense with. Damn!:(

If the hull isn't worth anything, then any work or materials put into it is more than it's worth. :p I'm sure someone out there could've used a free hull as a base to start from.
