For the steel percentage, I used wireplank, I may very well be guilty of an assumption in converting it over. I just need to go double check. If so at least I have the guts to admit it.

And you are still not in a qualified position to make the statements you are making.

Further more I will be happy to let tugboat talk to some FAL owners directly if he has any concerns.

Keep in mind, as tugboat stated, I did not go after him promoting the material, so you sir are way off base.

But then that appears to be the normal method of operation here.

    you mean this statement:

It's a statement of fact from your own statements. It doesn't need any qualification, it's simple and concise and not subject to misinterpretation. Nor is it a professional opinion.

You cannot use statistics without a proper consideration of the sample. If you sample survivors you will find survivors. It's not hard to understand.

Oh yes, and for the sheathing, we do have knowledge of the first 10 years on the African Queen, I believe 10 years on Jubilee and 15 years on the motor sailor out of VA.

Keeping in mind that they all lived longer instead of being cut up. All the correspondance we have is positive. It is unfortunate that Platt did not continue tracking them after 1986.

And I am in current correspondance with the the gentleman who did the Jubilee. Who has stated he is willing to share his experience with it.

So once again, say what you like, the provable facts tend to show otherwise.

Don´t cheat! There was a clear statement about the materials in question, paper mache and ferro cement was not amongst them, neither was your stuff.

And don´t put words in my mouth:
You are well aware how prominent this site is, don´t play the innocent ignorant.

You cannot use 70% of the known started hulls as a negative either. Which is what you keep trying to do.

You do not know that only 30% survived, you are making an assumption that well since he can only currently locate 30% the rest must have had problems.

So in fact neither are technically correct. However out of the 31 known boats only 1 is known to have an issue.

If you want to change that number more boats must be located and then we can make a determination as to how many have problems.

That is kind of like saying since the dawn of man millions of boats were built, but we can only find a couple of thousand of them, so the rest must have had problems.

    Richard,

I asked why FC was not on the list and offered up FAL as a possible candidate. You escalated from there with your responses. I simply responded.

    Tugboat,

Did I mislead you in any way regarding the material during our conversation?

Did I try to sell you on the material during the convesation?

Did I state a bit of a concern on the tugboat plans before you told me it was recreational?

Did you feel that I actively marketed the material to you at any time?

I am sorry, but I did not see any sign that said it was a restricted choice.

There we are again with your inimitable way to twist facts to your desire.

When there is a poll with two choices, say black and white, do you imply offering "mint" as a sensible contribution? Has "purple" to be mentioned explicit as being NOT part of the poll?

    I´will tell you something:

You are a idiot! Though a nice one, because you managed yourself to prove this statement true, in the entire thread......:D

Nope--I was the one who wanted the material. I was sold on it as a viable replacement for FC since it had the qualities of being able to be done singlehandedly. im convinced personally that it is a viable solution and a simpler and stronger one than fc.
I have talked to Darr personally--i have no issues regarding his integrity. I feel he is trying to do an honest job in promoting the product and i stand behind him. i believ that hard wokr and homnesty should be rewarded...

I do think people here are sharks, just a little bit of blood and they attack..for no real reason other than to destroy -assasinate character, and otherwise try to sabotage an effective product...ive seen nothing on here but bickering throwing out opinions as facts and heated debates. when/ if people kept an open mind- they might benefit from losing thier dogmatic sciences and rigidly held (and in my opinion unfounded) BELIEFS they have about a good product--this is sad to me...

I'm not using the untraced 70% as problematic that's your distorted logic. Go back and quote what I actually said.

You have missed half of the thread (as usual, you see only what fits your preconception), where just technical questions were discussed by NA´s.

Go back and read, as I just did, I said 1% to 3% based on the 1 mystery boat. Do the math it is simple.

    1 bad boat 100 hulls 1%

1 bad boat 30 known hulls 3% oops sorry 3.3333333333333%
