We have a hardware store in Ozz called Bunnings.

    I purchased 2 x 10mm bolts.
as well as 2 x 10mm washers and 2 x 10mm nuts, that I put on the bolts.

there are bar codes on the bolts, but to determine the size of nuts and washers the, in this case a girl at the check out has a book of drawings of nuts and washers that they place the nuts and washers on to determine the size and then zap the barcode next to the drawing.

She zaps the barcode on the bolts and her screen comes up with the size of the bolts as well as the price.

She then procceeds to unscrew the nut off one of the bolts removing it and the washer and procceeds to go through the action of trying to find what drawing matches the nuts and washers.

    Finally gets it.

Now I have learnt in the past to just let these people go through their ritual and not to try and alter it BUT!!

She screws the nut and washer back on and then procceeds to undo the nut on the other 10mm bolt.

How could I hold myself back. So I asked her, "Do you realise that a 10mm nut and a 10mm washer fits on a 10mm bolt."

She said, "No, I'm no good at maths."

    Back to the ritual.

No Gonzo, I've never met a female that's dumb enough to say, "yes."
