    I searched around a bit, but I couldn't determine whether it is in service or not.
    My Japanese is a bit rusty too - it's nearly 30 years since I read "Shogun".

    I would disagree with that, because it never went into service :p

    The project was cancelled just days before going into a proper regular service. As for the rest...i have no idea. SES/ACV vessels are not generally on my radar, thus my knowledge is limited.

    As for the conferences, Fast Ferry/RINA etc...i too attended them during most of the 90s and early 00s. Papers were free. I have a large collection of them in my library.

    I should have said "it would have inevitably been an operational failure, given the mediocre performance demonstrated in trials period"?? :p back at ya.

    Btw..my stupid mail server is back up; look for that hull geometry we talked about to show up shortly. (I hope you don't mind that I call you 'shortly').:D
