I would really appreciate some assistance to help me fair out by about 15 inches the squared off transom of my MacGregor 26X, making it a more efficient form for sailing.
I can imagine creating a template at the 7" line, followed by a second template at the 15" . what I can't come up with is the geometry or formulae I need to employ to do this.

    any help, always appreciated

Why bother? You have a boat, not designed for sailing as a priority.
By changing the transom shape, you will not gain much by way of sailing characteristics, and in return you will probably loose motoring capabilities.
