Hi would anyone be able to tell me the make of my boat. I cannot get it insured without a make.
The screen is an add on. Thanks B9AC95A6-FEA8-4AD6-884F-A087E9184619.jpeg

    Welcome to the Forum Paul.

Are you looking to get fully comprehensive insurance for the boat?
Or just simply third party liability type of insurance?
I presume that you keep the boat at home, and I really cannot see a need for fully comprehensive insurance for it.
If the Insurers are insisting on the name of the make, even for third party, then you could perhaps say it is a 'Generic 10' or soemthing like that (I am guessing it is about 10' long?)
It looks like a mould was taking off an old clinker wooden boat, and this mould was used to build your boat. It might have been built by a chap in a shed years ago, and might have never had an official name as such.
Is there any identifying serial number inscribed on the starboard aft side of the transom?

In the USA, you can register it as home built, and the agency will create a HIN for it.
I’m sure there is a way to accomplish that in the UK as well.
If you provide the insurance company with a fake # or brand, they’ll not find it in their database, and will likely not insure it without a survey and proper registry.

We don't Have legal HINs in the UK in fact anything under about 40ft doesn't need registration, you can just talk to a UK insurance company broker and will get a quote for it, I have for my little sailing boat that I designed and built.
However if the boat is made by a commercial builder than It's likely the quote will be cheaper.
So my advice is go to a marine insurance broker not direct to an insurance company.

    Silly.

The reason for the registration is to deal with stolens.
