Rather than buy a new boat, I think I would like to fix up my older one.
I have a Kenner 17' pro skiff, It has a small front deck on it, and I would like to make it a few feet bigger. The deck that is there now is plywood on the inside and fiber glass on the out side. Could I build a extention out wood/plywood, then cove it with fiberglass, and then repaint? Here'e a little drawing to explian it better. BTW, I have not fiberglass experiance, Is there a 'How to" on the web somewhere?

Yes, you can extend the deck in the way you're proposing and I'm sure you can find a thread on 'how to' in this forum. Just remember, for a good adhesion you should use vinylester or epoxy in stead of polyester!

    good luck
