Hello, have any of you ever installed Eva flooring?

    Something like seadeck?

I would like to offer something like this in the future and would be happy to receive information.

    Best regards

It is OK for areas of light traffic. I don't think it would handle anchors or other hard objects well.

If it does not support an anchor, say 30 kg, it will not support an 80 kg person or several people standing on the deck.

It is not a structural material but an overlay to make the deck pretty.

If a NON-structural material does not support the weight of an anchor, can you explain to me how it could support the weight of a person, two or three people on it?

Who is saying it is "supporting" the weight of an anchor?

This stuff is merely decorative. You can lay it over anything you want.

68290430460__57871C07-6FAF-456B-BA1B-14050D105E6C.jpeg I have Seadek on my interior cabin floor.

The first day we installed it, a screwdriver fell over and cut the phillips shape into the floor. It looks really great when it is clean.

    But it has some downsides...

    1. It does not handle point loads. This ought to help @TANSL
    2. Once it gets dirty it is a real pain to clean; especially inside. Outside, you can soap scrub it and water rinse with a high capacity washdown pump. I would prefer a snap in floor I can take outside and wash and spray. Cleaning it on hands and knees with soap and a shop vac sucks..
    3. It does not perform as well in heavy sun and will not last as long outside in those areas.

The upside is it looks great.

I recommend using a bit of reveal if you put it up against an edge, so you need another finish or take the wall or bulwark down to the floor. If you look close, I painted epoxy one part down onto the floor over a faired radius. I was careful to not paint too far over to avoid bond failure. Using this method allows a bit of imprecision when cutting and fitting..and dirt tends to trap there and easy to vac

Have used aquadek and seadek type products for jet skis for years. Did a bow area on a bass boat, it sure sucked up fish blood fast. One of the local guys here is cutting a version of Eva that's not name brand. He has a sample on his boat of his foam and a name brand foam.... truth be told neither really stood out or impressed but there isn't much else for some areas. Sent him templates for a companion way set of stairs between the deck and the cabin. Will be interesting to see how they hold up next year.

Boat I was on last week had it inside a wheel house, felt a lot better on the foot than the old marine vinyl it replaced. For low dirt or grim areas, it looks to be a decent option.

Most don't unless you go for one spec'd like that, but rare to find.
    It is, just decorative.

If I have interpreted it wrong, I apologize. No problem. Thank you, as always, for your wise interventions.
