    Hi,

has anyone of you used the vessel database of:

    http://www.fastferryinfo.com/

Is the information therein reliable and useful? Is it worth purchasing?

    Regards,

    Charlie

It really depends what you need it for. The FFI database is a pretty impressive database which is updated every three months. The data fields contained within the database are fairly extensive (e.g. designer, builder, year, material, hullform, principal dimensions, passengers, lane metres etc).

We dont really refer to it too often but when we need to compare past and current trends in fast ferry design, or quickly gather some information on a particular vessel it is incredibly useful. The only downside is that any queries you run in the database cannot be exported to a suitable format (e.g. Excel), so you have to print a hard copy directly from the database.
