Epoxy Foam core....

    Epoxy foam as a core material wouldn't be my choice. It's quite brittle, and expensive, and takes a lot of time to make it a core material.
    PVC foams aren't that expensive, and a lot easier to work with.
    You could use balsa, but it will be heavier than PVC, and offcourse you need to be carefull with holes through the core.
