    SALARY RANGE: 52,468.00 - 81,747.00 USD per year

    This position is located at US Coast Guard Engineering Logistics Ctr, Equipment Management Division, Naval Architecture Branch, Baltimore, Maryland.
    The incumbent serves as a Naval Architecture Technician, and as such develops detailed design and arrangements for new designs and existing ship modifications. Assists in developing preliminary designs and contract designs. Prepares sketches and engineering drawings including detailed contract drawings. Specifies system components and prepares draft contract specifications. This work has a very high degree of technical complexity and requires a thorough understanding of diversified technical disciplines. Duties also include serving as an expert on structural detailing, design methodology, and arrangements. Developing production-type, economical structural details for new designs. Independently trouble shooting in the field and making on site corrective actions.
    Maintaining contact with counterparts in government and industry. Reviewing contractor's drawings and calculations, submitted for Coast Guard approval, for conformance to contract specification
