I have a ongoing design that I will be building soon, but I would like to know where to place the engine.
The design is a full scale version of a RC model called a "rigger".
The center hull is 12 feet long with the 5 foot sponsons extending 2 feet further forword than the bow.
My design for a front engine mount would be to place the engine over the wetted portion of the sponsons (the last 12 inches) when at full speed.
The power will be a 4 cyl motorcycle engine.

How did you scale the RC model to a full size, proportionally? What was the scale? Weight study? Hydrostatics?
