I'm not familiar with Joy Global,is it an airline?
I think when you say "blood pudding" you mean "black pudding" or "Bury pudding" Bury being the town that invented it.I live about 15miles from Bury. They are made from pigs blood and barley, strangers tend to shy away from them, until they try one.
Fried or boiled, they are all the same to me [or was that children Haha]I think that was a quote that Fatty Arbuckle made many years ago.

I like kids too, but I could'nt eat a whole one.

Im a longer way from Bury than you are but I dont eat black pudding, well I do at breakfast with beans but I wouldnt ask for it.

I don't eat tripe or trotters either, Ive always been able to afford proper food like liver and sausages.

Bury market is booming, they even have coach trips to it,and of course their own black pudding stall. It's like going back in time foodwise. Its not for the modern mother though, they seem to feed their kids on crisps and pasties,a big day out,[sunday treat] is a macdonalds.

    For what its worth...

My buddy has two 225hp Mercury's outboards on his fishing boat and when starting up from cold idles nicely. Opening the loud lever it get of the mark like a bat out of hell run sweet for about 400 - 500 meters and one engine will start to misfire a few times and cut out.
After a few minutes it will start again and run well for about the same distance and cut out again and so on.

He replaced all the coils from a spare engine, no joy, carburetors cleaned, plugs changed, fuel pumps/lines etc but still the same problem persists.
Turned out to be one of the CDI units on the engine - has two units, one for three cylinders on each bank of V6 . After running under load awhile, it let go. He changed the CDi and all was well.

We opened the faulty CDI and when we eventually had the resin out of the innards, found that it popped the big capacitor in the unit. Replaced that and the old CDI performed like a new again....

How did you get the resin out.

The valves are not spring loaded so hold the bulb with the fuel flow going up and see if you get a different result

Not sure what you mean there, the pressure / vacuum hose to operate the pump goes to the crankcase, if you have water in there your engine is dead.
89/70 would be a VRO engine, there is a flame arrestor in the fitting that goes into the crankcase, they can block with carbon on an engine that has a lean missfire.
It unscrews so you can clean it.
If you have an air leak in the VRO fuel system it will pump lots of oil....
Safety feature by default as it leans out it gets more oil
    How about a photo?

I have yet to hold the bulb in the vertical position to prime the system, but you can bet I will when I do get a chance to go over it again. I have seen a couple of responses recommending this, so I will give it a try.
