So the search has continued, and I still am very interested to see what the many minds have for my original concerns.

I have spent time looking at Tolman's boats. I have concerns that she won't go together perfectly, but rather will go together quickly, and a touch haberdasher.

A Clippercraft has become available at a decent price (though the seller is being a little wonky). Given the fact that Id like to be able to cruise in a chop and not lose teeth or have hematuria after 10 minutes, Id like to hear thoughts on the looks of the deadrise. I am concerned that she isn't very deep at the forefoot, leading to a more harsh ride that can't be trimmed into submission with tabs. Is this going to be a good thing in a following sea, not having a deep narrow forefoot?

Mr Lathrop's boat has very similar performance numbers (albeit with less hp) and has that deeper foot that would be nice to trim down into the chop on the steep, close days.

If you were going to go out 40 miles tuna fishing in a boat with the following constraints, what would you look for?

    23' LOA
    2200lb light displacement
    2-3 crew
