Dual hydraulic steering

Hi all, has anyone ever connected dual steering rams to two outboards, if so will u please guide me through via a diagram or tutorial. Thanks kindly

 

Are they on the same boat? Just kidding, but some photos and project details (motor make model, hull make model) would help.

 

The boat is a center console mako 252 with twin optimax 225

 

This is the Teleflex set up, off the shelf nothing special. twin/trip/quad engines are routine here in So Florida.
These components should be in every Distributor Catalog in any good Dealers Shop, even down island.

Question: Is the shaft on the controller unit where you would bolt the wheel ?

 

Yes. That is called the helm pump and the shaft is for the wheel. Standard morse taper.

 

Xlent. It looks different to the few I have seen. I guess the 'tapered' front section allows for multiple size holes in a console.

It occurs to me, there must be ways of connecting an autopilot directly in-line, without having to attach an arm to the wheel.

Once you fit hydraulic steering you would not want a cable type again.
