No, No, No! This is the prototype for the US Navy sonic boom box that's going to wipe out all ocean life. This wasn't supposed to be released to the world for several more years. If you participate in this forum, in order to prevent the spread of this knowledge, the CIA will soon be knocking at your door to take you away to some prison camp in Poland. :D

    Call ya'selves Naval Architects?

    Sheesh - can't even recognise a torpedo tube when ya see one!:p :D ;)

Is that guy I see sitting inside wearing a turban?

If I told that boy a mine to stow his scuba tank safely for the trip once, I've told him a thousand times!

    Cheers!

i thought it was the boat for the movie "african queen II" ;-P
been hearing story's that these diy bulbs, some even have bowprop build in, do seem to work..
and look at this marine design i found. this years brief is "design a boat thats made for towing" meaning not towing any torpedos or my mothership drydock, your tow diving board is also out trouty. its got to be a craft of up to 24m in length that is designed to be towed behind a midsized car. hmm.. a roadworthy drydock perhaps?

    Round

Round and round and round we go - where we stop nobody knows!:D

Who gets to sit in the bow?;)

Where do the nav lights go?

Beats me where you find this stuff Yipster! (But I'm glad you do or I would never see it!):D

    Cheers!

Your idea is not so far fetched. The military has used rock salt formed in the shape of a cone to find the best/least resistant shape of a nose cone. They ran it through a water tunnel hoping that as it erodes, it will give the least resistance shape.

Don't know if it worked.Saw it in a science magazine some 40 years back.:)

I would move the pressure tank inside but attach a rubber blabber in front (the portable hot water bag). I would use the tank to inflate the rubber until it looks like a bulbous bow, its size depending on the pressure released from the tank.

If we leave the tank where it is and use a condom instead of the rubber blabber, we could run behind the whales promising them safe sex! ;)

    Guillermo,

    Too creative and funny!

    Others,
I thought the forum was adopting a "no politics" rule?

Refering back to the example (similar, but with the backside of the cap faired to the pipe) I saw in the `Waterkampioen' (Dutch), I actually went back are read the text, and for this case of adding on a 'torpedo' to a close-to-flat bottomed boat (mainly to provide vertical space for a bow thruster), they also found that it improved the tracking of the boat, and.... required 300 less rpm to reach crusing speed!

You might have better luck with the dolphins.... apparently they're the only mammals other than humans that copulate for pure enjoyment and not just to reproduce!

You guys have a very wild imagination. That is not a turban. That is a towel draped over his head.

Because of the heat generated during the repair, the owner was inspired to convert the damp hold into a sauna.

The guy in the towel is going out to get more bricks to throw into the acetylene torch heater.

Sorry, Nero. I didn't pretend to be offenssive. Just joking. My apologies to you, to the gentleman who did the thing, the poster and to anyother who might have felt offended. :(
