I also think it from an amusement park attractions. It likely had a tiny 1 hp motor and it was designed for just putting around and bumping into other ones.

Just think, somewhere there is a whole flotilla of them hiding in a back lot or warehouse.

I don't believe these were bumper boats as the fins in the back stick quite far out. I still can't find a darn thing about these in the US, no pictures or for sale ads. So I am assuming they are going to be even more rare in the US. So I believe I will clean it up and throw a trolling motor on it and see what happens. Might take it to downtown Ft. Lauderdale and drive it up and down the New River. The business that made these out of Delray Beach, FL started in 94 and shut down in 97, didn't last too long. They made small water crafts and small speed boats. That's about all the info I can find. May put a starting price of $4000 Or Best Offer for the pure rarity and unique look after it's totally cleaned up.

1987... you lost a decade of fun!

Has to be a bumper boat, steer by leaning thing that people rent for fun. I mean why else would you?

Why? Is there a market for these? Must be, or at least your friends friend believes it to be so.

When I was shown the boat or something similar (I didn't really care) it shocked me that anyone would believe it was worthwhile. Remember this was a friend of a friend.

But I have been wrong a few times so I tried to not criticize.

Don't think it would be for me.

Well, I may have a friend of a friend who'd pay $4000 for one.

    He's an idiot.

    Although, there is that 5%...

    Tom,

Send me the contact info and I'll send it on. For your "friend" - or should I just send it direct to you?;)

Honestly that's just a starting price, it's not a dead set price at $4000. But I will have it advertised all over Miami and Ft. Lauderdale for $4000obo.

How will you justify that price? One can buy a used 19 ft powerboat for that money nowadays.

If somebody pays it it will be justified. If you want one
    he has the upper hand.:D

I am reminded there is no correlation between money and brains.

Counter-intuitive I know, but seemingly true.

I don't have to justify it...it's a rare boat that not many people have in the USA as far as my research has led me to believe. Someone who has the money and the interest will buy it, simple as that. And like I said that's a base price it gives me room to negotiate. I am not expecting $4000 from it, but if someone has the money and wants it, they'll buy it for $4000.
