On this, I double envy you. Good luck on the water :D

When you have time to look at Freeship, describe what you liked and disliked. I'm not sure now if I should transfer my work from Delftship 4 to Freeship 3.4, and your opinion would help :)

By the way, I copied my boat from Delftship to Freeship, and noticed that Freeship displays line fairness quite differently. Although I double-checked if I transfered coordinates right, Freeship thinks my lines aren't fair.

If only it had auto-fairing, I could tell what it expects of me.

Took a very quick look at Freeship. It seems more limited and more difficult to work with than Delftship's free version. For instance, couldn't find a rendering mode, only lines and control net.

Rendering mode? I think it's available through right click on any viewport.

    Anything else?

Aha. Getting too used to the new Delftship GUI already. Forgot about the old context menu. :D

Dear Deer, how is it going with Freeship Plus? Any other limitations you encountered?

It's basically like the older Delftship, apart from having extra powering stuff (which I'll never use, not being into power boats) and the very basic "inclined hydro" (which isn't, not really). IOW, I think the current free version of Delftship is better for my purposes.

If only projects could be transferred between these two programs... That would be ideal.

Maybe I should drop this altogether and get MaxSurf.
