Designing Home made outboard engine bracket
I’m planning a new engine bracket w/ 26” setback an 16*transom angle.surporting under 500LB engine.
I came across this pod an though of duplicating it.
I believe the main body is 10" of square tube.
1.how thick should the plating be? I'd like this pod to be less than 50LBs
2.where would be the more desirable angle cut at transom, at engine engine or in the middle section apparently this pod has been angled at transom end in center an at the engine end.
I do like the way the rear part kicks upward as most pods are made.
w/ 26" of setback I could fully enclose my transom skin.
Thanks for advising
