I'm designing a 25' sports cruiser; The seat heights are a little high on my plans(to make space for a single berth underneath); including cushion, what is the 'average' height from floor for (outside)deck seating?

    Thanks

    Will

    17" is a good number.

I have build some boats and have used 40cm of height for seatings.

Uh oh. My seats are more like 25-30" high. I might have to deepen the hull. Headroom is important; I don't see the point of scraping the roof when you can add half a foot and be totally comfortable
