    Howdy yall, can you guys tell me what program is used for these drawings? or a good program for a beginner to dabble with, thank you: ) ive been trying akushaper and shap3d which can produce something similar but are really meant for surfboards haha (the 3d modelling is good though : ) ) 12' plans.jpg

    Any decent CAD software can generate 2D lineplans of boats/ships
    (AutoCad, Rhino, ...)

    rhino wouldnt work on my computer, older mac didnt like it hehe

    try freeship, it´s a very solid software for at least designing the hull

    If the drawing has good resolution just by creating a DXF cad file with that image it brings all these lines, thats a good trick however i usually make the lines manually on boat drawings that doesn't bring hull lines with sketchup in few minutes.

    I don't remember Touchcad and I'll give a try, the same hull sheet flattening and unfolding is available on sketchup
