I have question on power and sail boats controlability manoeuvrability - are there any rules or regulations on the subject?

Also interested in methods of turning diameter estimation for displacement/semi/planning power boats.

    Alik,

On mine, there are approximate methods for account of a turn radius. See in our hand-books (J.I.Voitkunskiy (part III) - for example). I decide the system of the differential equations for determination of this value for displacement hull.

Thanks Dim, that's the method I use also using my SCD program. I'm interested in:
    - Regulations for small craft manoeuvrability if any (in ISO, RCD, Registers, etc.)
    - Simplified methods for turning diameter estimation - practical 'rules of thumb'.
