What are the important things that need to be taken into account before purchasing a sandblasting machine?

What is good pressure for air compressor for a typical sand blasting?
    Nozzle specification?

The most important thing to considered first, is what you are using the machine for. For example, sandblasting sheet metal is different than sandblasting scale rust from thick castings. Also, what blasting media you will need to use. The pressure is usually about 110-150 PSI. However, the air flow has to be adequate too. Another thing to consider, is that if you use a nozzle that is too small for the system it is likely to clog.

pressure pot blasters are much more efficient than siphon type, need high volume of dry air, 50-80 psi at the pot . nozzle size will depend on volume of air available and how much surface area you are blasting. be sure to protect your lungs from silica dust .
