    Very interesting reading. I have especially appreciated the first part, in which various boat handling problems were identified and analysed. Thanks.

    That isn't the end of the story. Bella went through another iteration before the last Transpac. New rig, new keel bulb, transom extension, etc. She won the race and was donated.

    Still carries those scary looking BLACK liferaft canisters.
