Just came across "DESIREMENTS" as a new self explanitory word .

More eligant than "Gotta Have" , "need to have" or "nice to have".

Will start the ball with one of my long term desirements for cruising..

I would love a SS hot water heater with 4 fittings for electric input and at least 4 internal water circuits.

    The inputs would be 120v 15a (2) 120v 5A and 12v 40A.

This would allow the easiest living at a large variety of power hoses.
240 avilable? , light both 15a for lots of quick HW.

Behind a friends house ? one could still have hot water from a 15a plug and run other goodies.

12V for when the batts are charged and the sun is still shining.

One water circ to make HW from the engine ,

One more if a noisemaker is aboard for circ water.

One connected to the vessels heating distribution , for use underway , or if at a powered dock.

The 4th would be to warm the FW heater from a diesel furnace.

    Your DESIREMENTS?

You can have my copy. It is several editions old, which is ironic for a book that attempts to standardize written laguage and reign in change. I like "desirements"

Desirements is actually a concept from the Military Industrial Complex.

AS the taxpaupers pay for the development of new systems the Military adds Desirements ,
forver increasing the cost and complexity and development time of the new systems.

If you wonder why all that Hatred is directed at Rumsfeld , from both left and right , its because HE introduced a word they universally HATE!.

Commonality , in other words the new improved whatever has to just plug in (no long modification contracts with ever expanding prices).

Boy has that made lots of enemies!

Some folks are just not loved for saving many many billions .
