Deciding on the best axle for my sailingboat

We are currently restoring an S&S replica from the "Zeearend" originally build in 1936. We have finalised the revision of a Yanmar 110 and our now in the process to decide on the Straight Shaft System; Lubrication, Sound and Maintenance are just to name a few. Whereby we are currently very much charmed by a system with a inner GRP.

Any advice or experience?
