Deciding Battery for Electric Hydrofoil Surfboard

Hello everyone. I am working on building an electic powered surf board. I have all of the spec I just need to figure out which type of battery I will be using.
The motor is attatched here:

I hope to have this surf board running for an hour carrying people on a surf board. I hope to use a lithium battery.
If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Lithium battery is a good idea.

That motor generates 0.05HP or 40W. I don't think it will move your board much. It also has a tiny 1 7/8" propeller.
